# TEK 920 PulseWave Radar BLE Tank Level Sensor

The **TEK 920 PulseWave Radar BLE Sensor** from Rochester Sensors is a battery-powered, non-contact radar tank level monitor for accurately measuring liquid levels in plastic and steel storage tanks. It is a modern alternative to traditional float and probe gauges, using **60 GHz pulsed coherent radar** to measure the distance to the liquid surface without the sensor needing to touch the stored liquid.

Designed for oil, fuel, water and industrial liquid storage applications, the TEK 920 combines radar measurement with **Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy (BLE)**, a local digital display and a rugged outdoor enclosure. The sensor can be installed invasively above the liquid through a tank opening, or non-invasively through the wall of a suitable plastic tank.

#### Wireless Tank Level Monitoring

The TEK 920 sends tank level information wirelessly using Bluetooth Low Energy and can be viewed and configured through the Rochester Universal BLE app on compatible iOS and Android devices. The local digital display also gives an immediate on-tank reading.

For suitable plastic tanks, the radar can measure through the tank wall without the sensing element entering the tank contents. For steel tanks and other applications, a threaded invasive mounting option is available using the supplied mounting arrangement.

#### Non-Invasive Plastic Tank Installation

The sensor can be mounted on top of a suitable plastic tank and measure through the tank wall. Rochester’s installation guidance requires a suitable dry, level location away from internal and external obstructions and uses the Rochester BLE app to align and commission the sensor.

#### Invasive Installation

The sensor can also be mounted above the tank contents using the threaded adapter arrangement. Follow the manufacturer’s installation and safety instructions, particularly for fuel storage or hazardous-area applications.
